Transport EVOLUTION AFRICA Awards

Awarded to an emerging individual under the age of 40, who has shown significant qualities and exceptional growth in contribution to the profession and increased levels of leadership and responsibility. 

• A woman who is excelling in the transport and logistics industry. 
• The candidate should be a high achiever and have contributed directly or indirectly to her organisation or to the transport sector. 
• She should have strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Women in transport operations or supporting functions (i.e. Finance, HR, IT, Legal, etc).
• The candidate can be an entrepreneur, a corporate professional or a government official.  

Awarded to a woman who is implementing or being exceptionally creative with technology in an unconventional and innovative way within the transport value chain. 

• The candidate has played a pivotal role in transforming or improving the transport and logistics landscape with an innovative technology 

This award recognises and acknowledges a woman that has not only advanced women in the workplace through training and capacity building; but have also successfully transformed corporate behaviour and practices. 

• Provide evidence of enhancing and contributing to the training of their staff. 
• Gone the extra mile to advance their staff knowledge by way of training. 
• An extra effort has been made to implement a skills development programme. 
• The candidate must have contributed successfully to skill development within the transport sector. 

This award goes to a woman who has demonstrated excellent leadership in the workplace and has led others to great development and sucess.   

• Transformational leadership (promotes special programmes, EE, BEE, Women in Empowerment). 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Presents a good image of the organisation (positive work attitude). 
• Excellent performance in her work. 
• The candidate that has shown a clear path of initiative and growth within the organisation over the last couple of years by spearheading an idea or project. 
• The candidate should stand for transformational spirit within the transport value chain: Logistics/ freight/ clearing/ warehousing/ procurement/ supply chain/ . 
• The candidate performance should have contributed directly or indirectly to the financial or social-economic performance of the organisation. 
• The candidate can be from anywhere in the transport value chain (From government to transport operators, to a woman working in a supporting role: i.e legal, IT, Finance, HR etc.). 
• The candidate can be an entrepreneur, a corporate professional, youth or a woman with disability

This award recognises a unique person that demonstrated outstanding mentoring as well as those who challenged colleagues to take the next steps in their academic career and provided constructive feedback. 

• A women that has mentored and encourage women to build careers in transport and is a champion of women in the industry. 
• The candidate should have personally coached and mentored and individual/s for the advancement of the another their career. 
• The candidate must be empowering the next generation in transport.
